Spring 2007 promises to be another exciting season for the Independent Film Project!

Angry Filmmaker Kelley Baker has expressed a strong interest in returning to OU for a workshop on independent production and distribution.  In October 2006, Kelley was the guest of the Independent Film Project, and screened two of his short films along with Todd Haynes’ Oscar-nominated Far From Heaven, starring Julianne Moore and Dennis Quaid.  A true guerrilla filmmaker, Kelley’s work represents a fiercely independent style.  His vast experience both in and outside the “Hollywood system” makes his workshops a unique learning environment for aspiring artists.  We hope to set a date for Kelley soon.  Check back at the Independent Film Project web site to find out when the Angry Filmmaker will return to OU with his very subversive brand of art.

The Spring 2007 Motion Picture Symposium is sure to be a major success for the IFP/OU.  Details have not been set, but we are very excited about the potential guests for this event. Check back here, more information will be posted soon!
