Tommy White received his M.F.A. from Clemson University in the discipline of painting and a B.A. from Michigan State University in ceramics. Before coming to the University of Oklahoma, he spent nine years with Virginia Commonwealth University as an educator and administrator. His paintings have been exhibited both nationally and internationally and are included in the collections of the Mobile Museum of Art, Capital One Financial Corporation, and Binney and Smith Inc. (manufacturer of Crayola products). He maintains a professional working studio in Norman and continues to exhibit.
