Visual Communication :
The Visual Communication program at the University of Oklahoma School of Art is a comprehensive design program that provides students with the aesthetic and technical background for entry level positions in the design field. Students will study basic drawing and color, lettering, layout, packaging, logo design, publication design, webpage and multimedia design. Aspects of the program include the translation of verbal concepts into visual designs, visual problem solving, and the appropriate use of technology in the design field as it relates to communication.
After the completion of the Foundation year, students accepted into the Visual Communications program will begin a three year (six semesters) intensive study of the various aspects of visual communication.
Students have access to a lab space with sophisticated technology which includes high-end computers, scanners, digital cameras and the latest design software.
