Leading scholars in the field of western American Art participate in the Charles M. Russell Center’s biennial national symposia and Merkel Family Foundation Distinguished Lecture Series held on alternating years. Our upcoming events section provides specific information related to future symposia and lectures. Information on previous activities, such as our 2003 Third Biennial Symposium on the artists of Taos, New Mexico, can be located in our past events section.
